Message from the Athletic Director: Greetings from the athletic department and welcome to Atlantic Coast High School, home of the Stingrays. The 2022-2023 school year marks the start of our 13th year, since we opened our doors in 2010. I am proud to say that I have had the honor and privilege of being here since Day 1. Bringing together over 1,300 students and 100 faculty and staff members to build a positive, winning culture was no easy task, but we were able to do it thanks to the vision, hard work and leadership provided by the entire Atlantic Coast community. It was the "Start of Something Great", in 2010, and today we are still striving every day for greatness in competition, in the classroom and in our community.
Atlantic Coast High School is one of the largest high schools in North Florida, proudly competing in the Gateway Conference of Duval County Public Schools and the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA). Each year approximately 500 student-athletes compete in 15 girls sports (24 teams) and 12 boys sports (16 teams) at the junior varsity and varsity levels. Fall sports start in August/September. Winter sports start in October/November, and Spring sports start in January/February.
Under the leadership of Principal, Dr. Michael George, the athletic department is Athletic Director, Kelly Blount, Assistant Athletic Director, Natalie Lee, and Athletic Trainer, Brock Bugaj. We are here to support prospective, current and alumni students/families in any way we can. Here's to a great school year, GO RAYS!
